Glue Batik- Outdoor Open Art

Last weekend the girls and I were so very busy!  We were deep into a 3 step project, and boy it was fun.

First, we used blue Elmers glue to decorate a white sheet (any white cloth will work, even tshirts).  White glue does not work as well, make sure to use blue.

Once it really dry, say 12 hours or overnight, its time to paint!

We used 50/50 water and acrylic paints.  It took a while to wash off, even in a pool.  Hey, it's worth it.

Wash the glue off by soaking it in warm/hot water for a few hours.  I actually ran mine in the washing machine, which saved me a ton of time.  Now that they are dry, I may just make our playroom some curtains!

Haven't seen this since the 70's!
Still cool.
