Monday's Montessori Moment at Mommy Moment is all about the Cards and Counters work shown in use below. Go see it, here.
Hug a pumpkin!
Collecting and counting pumpkin seeds for roasting
Peanut enjoys the mini knobbed cylinders
Showing off her clean pumpkin collection, from Pumpkin Washing
Letter review for Bean, who is practicing writing these letters. We worked on them with the sandpaper first, then on chalkboards, and then paper. She keeps everything in a folder, she's quite the collector!
Oh, these photos are great! I especially love the pumpkin hugging, and the happy girl amongst her Sandpaper Letters. Of course the perfectly organized cards and counter layout always makes me smile, too :) Hope you're having a great week!
I always enjoy the chance to sneak a peak at your sweet girls working. I am impressed that your 3 year old can do cards and counters! My 4 1/2 son is still developing 1:1 correspondence to count 10 objects by himself. I always have my eye out for sets of 55.
Great work again this week! I love the idea of taking the time to count the pumpkin seeds before roasting them. I totally agree with Melissa about the cards and counters layout ... it's beautiful! Thanks for linking up with Montessori Monday. I shared your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow
I love the tongue! My boys stick out their tongues when concentrating too and it makes me smile. I love it. Your girls are so cute. Thanks for sharing your great pumpkin ideas. -Lori @ Montessori MOMents
